New Coffee bar taking shape
Here is a sneak preview of the exciting changes happening in Jet Park Hotel’s new lobby area. The iconic “fish wall” entitled “Schooling” by New Zealand Artist, Rex Homan was previously mounted on the curved wall which has been removed to create a spacious area with a new coffee bar. The fish are made from New Zealand swamp Kauri have been repaired and are now swimming in their new “waters” in the main lobby. Fellow artist and friend to Rex, Barry Kynoch has assisted with the new installation. The work will be finished with attractive lighting. Other renovations include the replacement of the hotel’s original lift (20 years old), a new floor, and the opening of the gift shop and business centre to allow for a large, attractive hub for guests to arrive into and relax. The coffee bar will sell pastries, café items and Jet Park Hotel’s own brand of homemade chocolates made by our own pastry chef. The majority of works will be completed before Christmas and we thank guests for their patience during the renovations.
